From rags-to-riches, Eva Peron was loved, hated, derided, and respected. Radiating wealth, glamour and magnetism, she dived the Argentinian people, becoming ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ and the world’s first major political celebrity. With Argentina in the palm of her hands, she uses her power to serve her people – and to serve herself.
Featuring some of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most iconic songs, including “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina,” this musical masterpiece won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The 1996 film adaptation was nominated for five Academy Awards, winning for Best Original Song.
