Cathy Penney

Cathy is our much-loved (and slightly bonkers – in the best way) Choir Liaison, brilliantly bridging the gap between the CODS main committee and our fabulous choir team. With a big heart, a loud laugh, and endless enthusiasm, Cathy keeps the lines of communication open, the admin ticking along, and the good vibes flowing.

Cathy was given a ‘life membership’ of CODS in recognition of over 30 years of service and performs in the choir concerts, shows and plays as well as backstage for most shows, which she thoroughly enjoy!

Whether she’s chasing down sign-ups or cheering from the front row, Cathy is all in – and we wouldn’t have her any other way.

Fun facts about Cathy:

• Once arrived at rehearsal wearing a feather boa “by accident” – and kept it on all night.

• Can harmonise to anything. Including the sound of a kettle boiling.

• Has a sixth sense for snacks at events, and is always first to locate the mini sausage rolls.

• Is legally unable to walk past a microphone without saying, “Is this on?”
